Live Testimonials.::. http://cyberforest.blogspot.com/

Today we are going to talk about using your blackberry to create a
transcript of live testimonies from event speakers, such as a marketing
seminar. Recording live testimonies has never been easier.

Let me start with a case study. In this day and age of information
overload, I'm guilty of trying to get as much of it as I can, and I
hope you'll join me. There was a seminar called "The Mega Speaking
Empire" a few months back. At the end of the conference, they asked me
to explain to the entire audience that we were hoping to get live
testimonials to put on a web site, which was being launched to sell a
recorded version of the conference. I politely asked that everyone pull
out their blackberry, and jot down Mark Victor Hansen's AudioGenerator
testimonials telephone number. Then, right after, dozens of people
would go outside and record a 60 second to 3 minute testimonial.

So how do you apply this plan of attack to your business? Let's
say, for a second, you find yourself at a conference, addressing people
at a teleconference, or meeting someone for brunch, you have material
for live testimonials waiting for you. Just ask them to pull out their
blackberry, and dial the number to your AudioGenerator line. This is
going to provide them with a toll-free number. You also need to put
that number in your PDA, or your blackberry. When you want, it will
digitally encode the voice messages and put them online to your web
site. At your next opportunity, log into AudioGenerator, review the
recording, and distribute it to your list. And surf's up! Audio
testimonials are a wonderful way to maximize your web site conversion
by 200%-300%!

If you're not using AudioGenerator, I suggest that you use it. Check out this postcard I generated using it.

Don't wait! Prepare for your next conference by getting ready to grab those live testimonials.

Good luck!

.Web Marketing 101::. http://cyberforest.blogspot.com/

Web Marketing.

Web Marketing is the most important thing to a growing business.

We all know that web marketing is a difficult thing, but web marketing
is EVERYTHING to online business. Many people will promise "overnight
succes" to wannabe web business owners and they will get suckered into
a "pie-in-the-sky" dream. However, if they don't have good web
marketing, they don't have anything!!

I have launched several businesses in the past several years, and
in the beginning I thought that just because I built a web site the
world would beat a path to my door. How wrong I was! I didn't realize
that without good web marketing no one would even view my site in the
first place!

Since my first venture in online business I have realized that web marketing IS the NUMBER ONE priority of an online business.

What business are you in? You may think that your business is
selling widgets or something else, but it isn't! No, your business is
web marketing! You NEED to realize this. This is the first and foremost
thing.

If you can grasp this ONE point, you will be way ahead of the
masses who decide to build a website to make their "millions." The life
blood of a web business is the traffic that it receives. If you can
average 50 unique hits per day and from those hit you make one sale or
ten AdSense click, what would happen if you could get 500 hits in one
day?? You sales (or clicks) would also multiply by ten!

How are those people going to get to your site if they don't know about it??

How are they going to find out about it in the first place?

Everything on the internet rises and falls on traffic. Traffic
comes from successful web marketing. That doesn't mean that your web
marketing costs a fortune! In fact, in many cases it is free! You just
need to know where to look.

Here are a few steps that you can take to begin to pursue great web marketing.

1. Design a Search Engine Friendly site.

Keep it simple. Yeah, we all love those "Flashy" sites with cool features, but search engines love simplicity.

Use text links. So you have a really cool looking navigation bar?
Chances are Google can't understand it. Put some text links on your
page that link to the other areas of your site too

2. Use Links

Make sure that you put a page on your site where you link to other
sites. This shows search engines that you are relevant and connected to
the world!

Ask other web sites to link to your site, or ask bloggers to link
to it. Use as many (ethical) means as possible to get your link out
there

3. Submit, submit, submit

Submit your site to the big search engines like Google, Yahoo, and
MSN, the others don't matter as much. If Google and Yahoo list
you...everyone will.

Submit your site to DMOZ (dmoz.org). This is a free directory that will give a lot of credibility to your site

4. Become and author

The internet is driven by content. Content is king. So...write some relevant articles and put them on your site.

Take some of those articles and submit them to "article sites" and make sure you put a link to your site!

Well, this is really just the tip of the iceberg of web marketing,
but if you practice these things you will surely begin to see an
increase in traffic!

Remember that above all, if you master web marketing, you have mastered the web!

So you have an online business and need more traffic? Check out this
site that offers a great value on an ebook that will give you
everything you need to do successful web marketing!

Authentic Conviction.::. http://cyberforest.blogspot.com/

Have you ever found yourself talking (or writing) about your business or your services and felt that you were struggling to convince yourself that you had value to offer?

In other words, somewhere in the back of your mind you have doubts that your services will really provide the value you are promising.

And this puts you in an awkward position.

If you come off as lacking conviction, you simply won't persuade anyone. If you try to fake conviction, you risk turning people off even more; it could sound as if you're lying.

What you're aiming for is authentic conviction.

But this can be hard if you have all kinds of doubts about the ultimate value of your services. You think: "Well, it usually works, but not always," or "Most people get results but not everyone," or "I don't have a lot of experience or much of a track record yet."

You could also have a stellar track record and still hesitate about speaking with conviction: "I don't want to trick anyone into thinking I have all the answers," or "If I sound too confident, people will think I'm bragging."

The inevitable result of all these doubts is that you either clam up completely or end up talking about your services hesitantly (and sounding very unsure of yourself). And, of course, that's bad marketing!

The good news is that you can express authentic conviction, and you don't have to change anything about your services or your business experience to do so.

What you need to do is recognize and tap into your past and current experiences and results. You need to find the truth and express it in a very straightforward way.

For instance, if you relate to me, in detail, the story of one of your greatest successes with a client, you will automatically become more confident and enthusiastic as you speak. You don't have to put anything on.

Another way of saying this is: Get out of your mind (where all the undermining doubts reside) and get into your actual experience (where your authentic conviction resides).

You don't need to change anything to do this. It's already there.

The following exercise is a powerful way to liberate your authentic conviction. It comes from the wonderful book, "Brag!" by Peggy Klaus. Just answer these questions:

1. What are your biggest strengths or positive characteristics? (According to you and others)

2. List the ten most interesting things you have done or have experienced in your life.

3. How did you get into the business you're in now?

4. What are you passionate and excited about in your business?

5. How does your business best take advantage of your greatest skills and talents, and how are you utilizing them right now?

6. What business or work success are you most proud of having accomplished? (Current or past)

7. What new business skills have you learned in the past year?

8. What obstacles have you overcome to get where you are today, (both professionally and personally), and what essential lessons have you learned from some of your mistakes?

9. What training/education have you completed and what did you gain from those experiences?

10. What professional organizations are you associated with and in what ways? - member, board member, treasurer, etc.

11. How do you spend your time outside of work, including hobbies, interests, sports, family and volunteer activities?

12. In what way are you making a difference in people's lives?

Take some time to thoughtfully write the answers to these questions and I promise you that you'll experience more authentic conviction when you speak or write about your services.

Authentic conviction isn't something you make up. It's already there in your past and current experiences. Tap into the power of those experiences by writing about them. (Just thinking about them doesn't really work.)

Press Releases: Misconceptions to Avoid and Guidelines to Follow!.::. http://cyberforest.blogspot.com/

Writing a press release use to scare the willies out of me but not any
more. Once I finally learned exactly what a press release was and who I
should aim my correspondence to, things got a whole lot easier very
quickly, and they will for you too.

Let's examine what a Press Release really is and some of the
misconceptions that I had before being educated the right way. Press
Release, as defined by wikipedia.com is: "A news release or press
statement written or recorded communication directed at members of the
news media for the purpose of announcing something claimed as having
news value". This definition is extremely accurate and tells you what a
Press Release is.

The critical component in writing an effective Press Release is to
understand that you are not writing an advertisement for a general
audience or a word story to a publication. And this is where one of the
misconceptions comes into play. Many professionals and small business
owners get this part wrong and it obviously causes major frustration
when they their Press Release does not render the interests they were
counting on.

Writing a Press Release requires that you gear your written text to
the news media; after all, they are the specific group that you are
trying to reach so they are who you must write your Press Release to.
The objective of writing your Press Release should be to WOW a
reporter. Write intriguing and captivating text about your news of
value. If a reporter is wowed, surprised or captivated by your press
release, then you are much more apt to get the attention you are
expecting.

I am including a general guideline below that will help you create and disperse a successful press release to the media.

1. It is imperative that you draft a well written and formatted
press release. Format can be the first hint to a reporter that the
information you are sending is not relative to their audience. You can
overcome this possibility if you take the time to properly format your
press release according to acceptable standards. So, what should you
include in your press release?

- Include your Time Line - The first thing you want to be seen on your
press release should be the time you wish it released. Let the media
know if you want the news to be released immediately if that's the
case. (For Immediate Release!) Tell the media that you want your news
released at a predetermined time. (Release the first week of January!)
If you want your news released with a seasonal deadline, state so>
(Release before Christmas!)

- Don't forget your Contact Information - Next, you need to include
your complete contact so as not to make it difficult for the media to
follow-up with you. Often times, with a well written press release,
reporters may wish to interview you for a story they are going to
release about your business. That's when taking the time to write a
proper and well written press release really pays off in dividends.

- Headlines, Headlines Headlines - Then consider the significant
importance of your headline! As in all types of advertising
copywriting, the headline is the most important component of the entire
press release. If you don't grab the attention of the reader in the
first few seconds (yes, that's all the time you have), then the primary
purpose and objective of writing your press release will be lost. Take
the time to write out 6-10 headlines: I subconsciously think about this
element while I am doing my research as it makes it easier for me to
come up with viable possibilities. Write them down as they come to you,
then once you have completed the writing of the press release, come
back to them and see which one knocks your socks off. Show your list to
family and friends and determine which ones they think say the most.
These few extra steps could make the difference between a great press
release and a totally ineffective press release.

-Include a dateline when you are beginning the body of your text.
Tell the reader the date you are sending your release to them and the
city and state of origin. (June 27, 2007 - City Here, Montana - start
the text of the first paragraph here.)

-Always double space the body of the press release. It's much
neater in a appearance and is not so congested that the reporter cannot
even read it.

-Use Quotes and Give Credit - It perfectly satisfactory to use
quotes from learned experts in the field you are writing the press
release about. It will help you establish credibility for your news
release.

- Include a Call To Action - I recommend that you always include a
Call To Action. What do you want the end result of your press release
to accomplish? Do you want someone to call a phone number for more
information; do you want someone to visit your retail location for a
new sale or is it that you want everyone to visit your new website and
find out just how great the information you have to share really is.
So, Include a Call To Action.

-The Closing comes last - In North America, traditionally the
symbol "-30-" is inserted after the body and before the media contact
information to indicate that the release is ending. A more modern
substitute is to use the pound sign (###).

-Include the Media Contact Information - include name, phone
number, land address, email address and any other pertinent information
for each PR person you send your press release to.

2. Target Your Market - It will do you no good to send your news
release to a reporter specializing in Sports when your news release
deals with Internet Marketing. Always target the reporters you want to
receive your press release. I also recommend that you actually do some
research and find out the names of the reporters most focused on your
business area. Always address your press release to the reporters you
have located from your research. Always target the recipients of your
press release to best suit your business needs. You may even want to
write dedicated releases to each reporter so as to better explain
yourself since each reporter will have different values which they use
to determine whether or not your press release warrants their
attention. Remember, anything you write to anyone that is personalized
will stand a better chance of success.

3. Relationship building will pay you hugh benefits in the long
run. Now that you have gone to all the trouble to locate the reporters
that specialize in your niche, then work on establishing a solid
working relationship with them. You may be surprised at just how much
good this will do you in time. Reporters are constantly looking for new
story lines: it you have a good consistent relationship with your niche
reporters they will look upon you as an expert in that niche. And who
better then an expert ,YOU, to do niche specific interviews with. So,
build a solid relationship with the reporters you locate. It will also
give you a heads up any time in the future you want to send out a new
press release.

4. Do not send releases to reporters that sound like a blatant
advertisement. Press releases are used to release something that is
truly newsworthy. You will not get to first base if you send out an
advertisement. Keep the context of your release factual and deliver
your message without flair and fanfare. Eliminate heavy descriptive
terminology such as describing your product or service as amazing, or
stupendous or the like. Keep you text down to basic factual
terminology. But do tell a good story too. Reporters like to read a
good story and good stories are written with interesting language will
sell the reporter on publishing your press release.

In summary, wikipedia.com says this very well: News releases have
been a large source of criticism against various types of journalists,
who sometimes rely on them heavily. Many articles in the business
press, particularly, are little more than recycled press releases. Some
people criticize writers for creating articles in this way, contending
that it constitutes free advertising for the company on whose behalf
the news release was issued, especially if it is not contrasted with
criticism of that company or product in the same article. On the other
hand, few dispute that news releases remain a valuable way for media to
be made aware of new products and services, and recent and upcoming
events of interest.

Don’t Make These Mistakes!.::. http://cyberforest.blogspot.com/

When it comes to internet marketing, there are a few giant internet
marketing mistakes that can ruin the whole reason for internet
marketing in the first place. Here are a few internet marketing
mistakes you will want to avoid at all costs:

Not having an internet marketing target. This is a major internet
marketing mistake than many amateur home business owners make when
trying their hand at internet marketing. It is extremely important for
your internet marketing campaign that you know who you are targeting
the internet marketing at.

Poor communication to your internet marketing target. This is
another big problem that many internet marketing business owners seem
to have at first. Be very certain when you are doing internet marketing
that you understand your audience and give them something through your
internet marketing that they will be able to relate to. Internet
marketing is not just about driving people to your website. Internet
marketing is about connecting with others in a way that they can best
understand through internet marketing.

Paying a lot of money for internet marketing. Internet marketing
should not cost you a whole bunch of money. Interner marketing can be
very inexpensive if you know what you are doing with internet
marketing. The biggest thing for internet marketing is knowing how to
put your internet marketing creativity to use. If you can be smart with
your internet marketing, you don’t always need to spend a lot of
money on internet marketing.

Another mistake in internet marketing is being removed from
important search engine sites because of link pages that are not
allowed. When you are doing internet marketing, check to make sure you
are not breaking any search engine rules through your internet
marketing. Coming up in a search engine is a huge part of internet
marketing, and that internet privilege must be taken seriously.

The Secret Behind Good Advertising: Have Fun! .::. http://cyberforest.blogspot.com/

Internet marketing for your online business can be a challenge, but
internet marketing is extremely important to its success. When you make
plans for internet marketing, your internet marketing strategy should
be targeted at those who will need or want your internet marketing
most. Make sure you find an internet marketing audience who is
interested in what your internet marketing says. If you are selling
hats that teenage girls would typically like, your internet marketing
should take place in online spaces where teen girls are likely to be.
Not only should your internet marketing be in the proper place, but
your internet marketing should also be aimed at your specific internet
marketing audience. For example, if you are using internet marketing to
sell men’s footwear, you will want internet marketing that
appeals specifically to men.

Another internet marketing tip is to allow potential customers to
develop interest in your internet marketing by employing fun and
creative internet marketing techniques. If your internet marketing
audience seems to respond well to fun, then your internet marketing
technique needs to reflect that as much as possible. The best part of
owning an online business and being in charge of your own internet
marketing is that you are able to have fun with your internet marketing
and business. When you have fun with your internet marketing, the
people who respond to your internet marketing will probably be having
fun as well. Jokes, off-the-wall humor, funny cartoons, silly puns,
etc. can all have a valuable place in your internet marketing.

Additionally, remember that it’s not so much about cost when it
comes to internet marketing. The real trick about internet marketing is
knowing your audience and being as creative as possible in your
internet marketing presentation. Additionally, before you begin your
internet marketing campaign, be sure that your website is up and
running in good shape. You do not want to begin internet marketing only
to disappoint those who respond to your internet marketing.

How To Investigate an MLM Company Before Investing Your Time and Money:: cyberforest.blogspot.com

If you're like me, you're probably thinking of ways to make you just
that little bit richer, and without having to worry about changing jobs
or working too hard to do so. Well, the great news is that there are
hundreds of ways to do this on the internet, and the even better news
is that you can start today. It's called MLM marketing, and there are
many MLM companies out there, so you're bound to find one that
interests you. However, make sure you do what I did, and check these
companies out first before spending anything.

MLM marketing (or Multi Level Marketing) is pretty easy, and that's
what I like about it. Basically, you get something to sell, and find
other people to not only buy it, but sell it for you too. Then you all
get a share of the profits, so everybody wins! Great, huh? But like I
say, there are hundreds of MLM companies out there, so I recommend you
do the following to make sure you get hooked up with the best:

* Look at the company's track record. This is pretty easy to do, but it
can save you a whole heap of money. When I was looking for the right
MLM company, I made sure I found out how long they'd been going. This
is really a no-brainer, since it's usually the best companies that last
the longest.

* Ask about a fixed phone number and a real address. Let's face it,
you and I know that without an address, you're classed as homeless, and
do you really want to give all your money away to a homeless company?
Me neither. And unless they have a phone number where I can reach them
day or night, they're not getting my money either.

* Speak to real people. I had seen a lot of "testimonials" by
people who'd succeeded at companies while I was looking for the MLM
company I wanted to join. But then I thought anyone can write a
testimonial, and it could all be made up too! So try and speak to
actual people who've been successful within that company. It's pretty
easy to do, as well - if it's a decent company, the owner will give you
names of people you can actually speak to.

* Costs. This is one of the biggest things you need to check. Like
I say, I'm not rich so I can't afford to throw money left, right and
center. So I made sure I knew what extra costs might be involved, like
a monthly subscription or minimum purchases of the things I want to
sell.

* Ask what the realistic potential of the business is. Sure, I could
tell you that I want to make a million in my first year, but come on -
how likely is that? So find out what you need to spend, and how much
you should expect back.

At the end of the day, a good MLM company wants you to succeed just as
much as you do. After all, any profit I make, they'll make too. So
don't be afraid to ask questions beforehand - I did, and now I'm making
a nice amount to allow me extra vacation this year, and I can't argue
with that!
